Gavin Kaysen – Stir and Taste
$125.00 – $1,300.00
Gavin Kaysen’s Spoonful Story
Before returning to his hometown of Minneapolis and starting his own restaurant in 2014, Gavin Kaysen worked in kitchens across the United States and Europe. This spoon, which Gavin uses unfailingly for cooking, tasting and plating, has a mischievous origin: “I stole it from my pastry chef in Switzerland once I learned how to make the perfect ice cream shape with it, as I was instructed. It means more to me than any other tool I have. It was the start of my culinary journey.”
Kaysen finds inspiration in many ingredients, and his spoonful tells the story of the journey he has taken to where he is today: a Michelin starred chef and restaurant owner who has represented the United States in the exclusive Bocuse d’Or gastronomic competition – the Olympics of the chef world – since 2007.
